F1® Roars Into Albert Park

As the season opener of the F1® racing calendar, the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 is the ultimate event hub for power engines, star racers, sports enthusiasts and entertainment lovers.

It’s the race that commands the world’s attention and it’s taking place right here in Melbourne. The Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 is the ultimate playground for the world’s best athletes and one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar. From 14–17 March, feel the roar of the engines as the fastest cars in the world tear up the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit at the 2019 season opener.

Whether you are a motorsport fan, a sports enthusiast, wanting to take the whole family out or after the glitz and glamour experience of this star-studded event, the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 has something for everyone.

Before The Event

If you’ve dreamt of watching trackside action from the best location, a grandstand seat will get you up close to all the thrills of the race. With tickets priced from $89, you’ll be sure to get first dibs on one of the best seats in the house.

The all-new AusGP Park Pass replaces the older General Admission tickets, offering an affordable opportunity for fans to experience all the on-track and off-track entertainment. Starting from $35 for adults, and with children aged 14 and under attending for free, this is the perfect pass for the whole family. From the hair-raising thrills of watching your team overtake a rival in the dying moments to the pride of seeing your little ones ask a racing legend for a selfie, this is where memories are made.

On The Track

There is only one place where the rush never ends, and this year’s on-track line-up stays true to its reputation. Get close to all the action at the Supercars Melbourne 400 race, Australian GT Championship, Australian Formula 4 Championship and the main event itself. Enjoy the electrifying atmosphere as Australia’s very own Daniel Ricciardo vies for a podium spot in his hotly anticipated first race for Renault Sport.

Melbourne Walk

All fans have access to get up close to the drivers and teams as they take the walk to the Formula 1® Paddock each day. Get ready for autographs, TV interviews and selfies with the biggest names on the circuit. See Daniel Ricciardo for the first time with Renault Racing along with a host of driver and team changes for the new F1 season. Where else in the world can you get an experience like this?

F1 Fan Zone

Make your way to the ultimate hub for driver appearances at the Australian Grand Prix. The fan stage will feature autograph sessions, driver appearances, interviews and a chance to hear from the F1 team principals along with music and entertainment across all event days. With a host of driver and team changes, including Ferrari’s new team with Sebastian Vettel, Charles Leclerc and team principal Mattia Binotto, Australian fans will be in prime position to see these world-first changes for the 2019 season.

M-Lane

Melbourne’s acclaimed food and art scene has once again made its way to Albert Park. In a nod to the city’s culture, M-Lane is a unique laneway-inspired experience boasting a mix of the best food trucks, extreme street art and live music all in one area. Blending street vibes with delicious food, it is the social hub at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019.

Heineken® Village

There is only one place where everyone is a rock star, and the Heineken® Village is where the party’s at. From the best music acts to the world’s fastest cars, get among the action and mingle surrounded by the best entertainment, food and fashion. Soak up the electric atmosphere and don’t miss the exciting entertainment line-up. The world-famous Heineken® Saturday returns featuring top music acts, plus celebrity spotting when hometown heroes and international stars collide with star racers.

Foodie Heaven

Tantalise your tastebuds at the Smoked Meats Workshop, a spectacular barbecue show and demonstration with delectable samples for carnivores. There'll be smokers and sizzling barbecues, while celebrity chef Jay Beaumont will demonstrate different cooking styles and barbecue techniques each day. Get ready for a scrumptious affair!

Family Fun

The Kids Zone is packed with activities to keep your junior F1® fans occupied all day. Create an ultra-fast LEGO racing car at the Build and Test zone, or unleash your inner driver by racing your vehicle on the test track for the quickest time. Check out Jurassic World, complete with animatronic dinosaurs and play area. Along with all the prehistoric fun, there’s a daily line-up of favourite Universal films set to air on the big-screen open cinema. Get right into family favourites like Spirit: Riding Free, Minions, Kung Fu Panda, The Secret Life of Pets, Trolls, How to Train your dragon, LEGO Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape and Boss Baby.

Tech Heads

The Innovation and Technology Hub highlights Victoria’s outstanding contribution to the automotive, defence, aviation and advanced manufacturing industries. Showcasing the latest in Australian ingenuity and the capabilities of local industry in design, engineering and manufacturing global products, it reflects the technological prowess seen throughout the state. Not only is the Innovation and Technology Hub a way to offer fans further insight into the unmatched sport of Formula 1 and the technology surrounding it, it is also the on-site location for students who are part of the education program Driving Learning, a destination for the innovative minds of the future.

Supercars Central

Get your behind-the-scenes Supercars experience at Supercars Central. Check out your favourite Supercars teams, complete with the transporters on display. Grab a bite from the food trucks and a drink from the bar while getting up close and personal with Supercars drivers, who will appear on stage. The best part? It’s free and accessible to all fans.
