If you’ve never been to the National Sports Museum at the MCG, now is a great time to check out one of the city’s most unique collections. Get up close and personal with Warnie, as cutting-edge technology brings Shane Warne’s 3D hologram to life. Learn about some of the best athletes in the world in the interactive exhibits and marvel at sporting artifacts like Olympic medals. Plus, there’s a range of extra activities on offer too.
In Game On! kids can immerse themselves in their favourite sport, and test their reaction times against computer simulations. The cleverly designed audio visual experience will make them feel like a sporting star!
The MCG may be known for cricket and AFL, but Game On! doesn’t end there. Australia is one of the greatest sporting nations in the world, and the virtual activities live up to this, with everything from archery to netball. This interactive gallery is the ideal place for kids of all ages to throw, shoot, ride, race and run to their heart's content.
Visitors can top off their day with a special tour around the mighty MCG, exploring otherwise off-limits areas of the stadium including the MCC Long Room, media centre, player change rooms and much more, while hearing unique stories about the ground’s amazing history. Then it’s time to stride onto the ground’s hallowed turf. While you’re out there, you won’t be able to help but imagine what it would be like to kick the winning goal on Grand Final day in front of 100,000 screaming fans.
