Q: How Do I Use Public Transport in Melbourne?

Q: Are There Any Free Ways to Travel Around the City?

Melbourne has a Free Tram Zone in the CBD and Docklands, and you don't need a ticket to ride any tram in this zone. However, if you travel anywhere outside this zone, you'll need a valid myki ticket. There is also a free tourist tram known as the City Circle Tram which operates on a set route around the city in both directions offering a commentary of landmarks and attractions along the way.
