Q: How Do I Use Public Transport in Melbourne?

Q: Are There Any Free Ways to Travel Around the City?

Melbourne has a Free Tram Zone in the CBD and Docklands, and you don't need a ticket to ride any tram in this zone. However, if you travel anywhere outside this zone, you'll need a valid myki ticket. There is also a free tourist tram known as the City Circle Tram which operates on a set route around the city in both directions offering a commentary of landmarks and attractions along the way. Q: Where Can I Get Face-to-Face Visitor Assistance?

City Ambassadors and the Melbourne Greeter Service are run by City of Melbourne's local experts who know everything there is to know about Melbourne. The City of Melbourne's Visitor Inforation Centres at Federation Square, Bourke Street Mall and Fitzroy Gardens also offer great advise and assistance including brochures, maps and free Wi-Fi
