Flying

If you are coming to visit from either Mildura or Albury, you have the option of choosing to fly to Melbourne. Both Mildura and Albury airports are serviced by Rex, Virgin and Qantas Link flights direct to Melbourne Airport. For more information on flights through each of the carriers, see below:

Melbourne Airport

Melbourne Airport, also known as Tullamarine Airport, is the primary airport serving the city of Melbourne. The second busiest airport in Australia, it operates 24 hours a day and offers baggage lockers (in the international terminal), restaurants, bars, a variety of retail stores, a children’s playground, information desks and major car rental companies. Located approximately 22km or 25 minutes northwest of the city, Melbourne can be easily accessed by car, taxi or bus. For more information about Melbourne Airport, click here.

Car Hire

Skybus

Skybus provides a direct bus service from the airport into Melbourne (and from the city to the airport) with an approximate trip time of 20 minutes. Buses run 24 hours a day, seven days a week every 10–15 minutes throughout the day and every 30–60 minutes overnight. Buses are mobility-enhanced with wheelchair passenger access, on-board baggage storage and air-conditioning.

An adult single fare is $18 one way or $36 round trip. A family fare (including two adults and up to four children is $41 one way or $82 round trip. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here or at a SkyBus ticket booth before you board the bus.

Taxis

Taxis are ready and waiting outside the terminals and a ride to the city will cost approximately $50.
